BOTOX® Cosmetic is a non-surgical procedure used to temporarily smooth out moderate to severe frown lines between the brows, around the eyes, and on the forehead. It targets one of the underlying causes of frown lines and crow’s feet—the repeated muscle contractions from frowning and squinting over the years.
BOTOX® Cosmetic is a purified derivative of the Botulinum Toxin A, which when injected directly into the facial muscles, blocks nerve impulses to the injected area. This prevents further muscle contractions, thus allowing the skin to become smooth over that relaxed muscle group. In some cases, with repeated treatments the wrinkle can actually disappear. Botox is FDA Approved. The procedure is safe with minimal downtime. After the treatment slight redness to moderate swelling can occur.
One 15 minute treatment and within 3-7 days you will begin to notice a visible smoothing of your crow’s feet lines and frown lines between your brows. Results may vary, but most treatments results can last up to 3 months.
